Can Rocket Boots Be Found In Chests?

Answer : No, the Rocket Boots cannot be found in any chests, nor do they drop from anything including shadow orbs, any enemies or bosses. They can only be acquired by purchasing them from the Goblin Tinkerer for 5 gold. Rocket Boots are not dropped by any mob on the game or found in any chests, they are sold by the goblin tinkerer NPC who is usually found in the underground jungle after the goblin invasion has been defeated at least once.

Can You Pause Terraria?

Answer : You can Alt-Tab out of the window, or simply click out of it if playing in windowed mode, and it will pause gameplay. It's hackish, but it does pause (you can also do this during loading, and it will keep loading). As James has pointed out, this is single-player only. There is currently (and I doubt there ever will be) no multiplayer pause. Game pauses automatically if you ALT+TAB to another program. UPDATE : In Terraria 1.0.4 devs added the following option related to pausing: Added an option that will pause the game while talking to an NPC or opening your inventory in single player. It defaults to off.

Can I Defeat The Eater Of Worlds With Only Iron Armor And A Demonite Broadsword? If Not, What Do I Need?

Answer : You've got a number of options open to you (aren't sandbox games grand!): You could go mine out some better ores. For instance, you should be able to dig a shaft, find Silver and/or Gold, and mine enough to make better armor. You could go into the Jungle and try to make some gear - the Thorn Chakram is easy to recommend. Jungle Armor might be tricky, as the resources required are likely going to be difficult to collect in quantity at your current health/armor level. The Chakram is pretty straightforward and low resource cost, though. You could fight the Goblin Army, which has a chance to spawn after you start breaking Shadow Orbs. They drop Harpoons, which are recommended for use against the pre-hardmode bosses and apparently make pretty short work of them. The Army's not tough to fight if you have a pretty defensible area and a fast-firing weapon that does decent knockback. I'd also suggest constructing a boss arena (in the corruption, if tha...

Can I Transfer My Terraria Character From One PC To Another?

Image
Answer : If you are playing the Steam version with an Internet connection, you can just let Steam do all that work for you by enabling cloud saving for your character. Otherwise, your characters are stored in: Windows: %userprofile%\Documents\My Games\Terraria\Players Mac: ~/Library/Application Support/Terraria/Players Linux: ~/.local/share/Terraria/Players However, if you're using Steam cloud saves, the files will be in a different location. <Steam directory>/userdata/<Steam3 ID>/105600/remote/players To copy a character, you will need both the .plr file and the folder that are named like your character. Technically, only the file is necessary, but the folder contains your minimap data. As of version 1.3 (1.3 Patch Notes), you can save your character via the Steam Cloud service. This can be enabled when creating a character.

Can I Play Terraria On A Mac?

Answer : An enterprising user on the Terraria forums created a wrapper for Terraria using MonoGame called MacTerraria. To use it: Download Steam and purchase Terraria. You can do this on a Mac. Download Terraria using Steam. This can't be done on a Mac, unfortunately: you need to use Boot Camp, a virtual machine, or another Windows PC to download it. Copy the terraria folder found in: C:\Program Files (x86)\steamapps\common to your Mac. Download MacTerraria from the linked forum post and place it anywhere you want (probably good to keep it in your Applications folder). Locate Terraria.exe. This will be in Steam's application support folder. You can get to do the default location by going to the Go menu in Finder, selecting Go to Folder... , typing in the following and pressing the Go button: ~/Library/Application Support/Steam/SteamApps/common/terraria Copy Terraria.exe and place it in the folder alias MacTerraria came with. If you don't have t...
